PROGRAM

Join us for BW Symphony Orchestra’s first performance of the semester featuring David Becker, interim director, with an original composition by Charles Rochester Young, the BW Conservatory of Music Associate Dean. Dr. Young’s composition, Enchanted Moonscape, was inspired by the children’s book Walk When the Moon is Full, by naturalist Frances Hammerstrom.

Colin Henley ’20 will feature as concerto soloist for Hindemith’s Der Schwanendreher, concerto for viola and orchestra.
And Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol will feature principal players of the BWSO.

As recommended by CDC guidelines, face masks (N95/KN95 recommended) are required to be worn indoors at BW by all individuals regardless of vaccination status.

If you are unable to log in simultaneously to the live performance, the recording typically remains available throughout the remainder of the day, so you will be able to enjoy the program that evening as well.
