BWMT faculty Laura Welsh Berg is making her debut as the intimacy coordinator for Baldwin Wallace’s fall production of The Wild Party.

BW music therapy students are finding their niche — pursuing their passions and the pathways to achieve them thanks to new faculty and initiatives that are infusing fresh energy into the program.

Once again, BW is the only Ohio school on the short list of top-tier programs in the U.S. and Europe, with the magazine praising BW’s innovative courses, industry connections and successful alumni.

“This accomplishment was by far most meaningful to my personal growth and confidence,” says Josiah Bullach ’15, Associate and Assistant Principal Horn of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.

Exceptional hands-on learning and networking experiences came to the forefront as BW students and faculty collaborated with Kaboom Collective and folk-indie band The Accidentals to record an album and tour.

Taking inspiration from internet megamillion-view artists Jacob Collier and Bill Wurtz, BW sophomore Joe Brown layered harmonizing vocals with syncopated instrumentals to create a new BW signature sound.

A new pathway links two stellar programs and streamlines bachelor’s degree completion for Cuyahoga Community College recording arts and technology graduates transferring to BW. A BW grad was integral in building the partnership.

When she’s not singing at rehearsal for the world premiere of La Casa de Bernarda Alba, Vocal Performance major Sophia Sorrentino ‘23 is still working. Hard. In this production, she has a rare opportunity to get a glimpse into her future, as she shares the role of Adela with BW alum Dawna Rae Warren ‘18.
